Favors,Rest, Relax, Work, and Meanders

Favors:
I accepted a project last night at the show. Actually, I would call it a favor for one of my special people. It's a technology/media project, which I am fully capable of doing. It shouldn't have taken too long to achieve either, but alas-alack, mine computer and various drives were being temperamental last night. I finally got the project completed, and high quality work at that, but the project that should have only taken about 1/2 hour ended up taking about 4, with much sailor/farmer language and huffing. Roo actually looked at me around 2AM and clearly communicated to me, "Daddy, you are seriously freaking my sister out; One of you needs to take a pill."

At that point, I was beginning to calm down. My technology was functioning in the manner I wished it too; I was no longer swearing and threatening bodily harm to my hardware and softwear, and was merely waiting for it to do its job. It required attending the computer, but not active instruction/interaction, Once I got it running right. Unfortunately, I still had the 1/2 hour of work to do. So I just opened my book to keep me awake and would attend the bloody computer when it would beep at me. Meanwhile my head was reeling from a two show day, and all I wanted to do was go to bed. But I HAD to finish the project once I got it running, or I would have to tie up the computer today with it.

Successful Finish! I'm ready to deliver the final product this evening, and I'm able to use the computer for 'other' things this afternoon. It dawned on me this afternoon that it was March already and perhaps I should pay some bills...

Rest:
I thank the higher powers that be. In spite of being up far later than I intended last night, I got a decent nights rest. There was NO bloody hammering going on in the vicinity this morning, and I slept in. REALLY slept in. I rolled over at 8:15, realized it was quiet, took a trip to the bathroom, fed the cats, and collapsed back on the bed. The next thing I knew it was 12:30. I finally got a decent nights/days sleep up in here. Very happy about that, and I've had a very relaxing afternoon of paying bills and house upkeep. I've promised the girls some uninterrupted brushin's later too, to which they are beginning to call for.

Relax:
D and I had a good time between shows yesterday, dining at Whym. I had a scrumptious pork tenderloin with caramelized onions and figs. She was hedging between the chicken pot pie and the mahi mahi. She was a little disappointed in the chicken pot pie, but I believed the chocolate cake made up for it later... A very nice place, and I'll be going back at some point to sample more things on the menu. We were having such a relaxing meal that it slipped our minds we had to go back to work, and suddenly realized we were going to be a few minutes late in getting back. So we paid the bill and scampered back to the theatre. I'm becoming positively addicted to having a nice sitdown meal on two show days, and I'm completely OK with that!!

Work:
The extra work will commence tomorrow. I received a phone call yesterday asking me to work tomorrow and I accepted. It was from an unsolicited source, but I've worked for them before; I just didn't stop by and tell these particular people I was looking for extra shifts. Word travels fast around here at times. The extra money is going to come in handy, having just returned from vacation, and hopefully will continue as I have several expensive idea's/plans/wants/needs. Moving, my Italian vacation, et. Al.

Meanders:
I'm overdue for a trip to the drugstore. I'm out of bodywash (PHEW!) and a few other personals. I left yesterday morning in plenty of time to take care of these various errands, but I spent 40 minutes waiting in line at the post office, and that completely whacked my schedule. I was in the head of the line, only 2 people were in front of me, and I was too vested to just walk away. After I got out of the post office I barely had time to make it to work with breakfast. And of course, dinner with D ran long, and by the end of the night I was thinking about the project and not about body odor. So it's time to throw on a hat and scamper around the corner ... Hopefully I can get out of the door without another show down with Bast. She is still sitting in front of the door and refusing to be moved whenever it looks like I'm about to leave the house.

Speaking of Bast, I was doing a little rearranging this afternoon in the bed room, and I accidentally put the suitcase in the living room so I would have room to move things in the bedroom. Moments after I did that, I hear a crash and the sound of claws in a frenzy. I opened the bedroom door to discover that Bast had knocked the suitcase over and was attempting to rip it to shreds. She didn't stop when I opened the door either, she was too firmly absorbed in her mission. I started laughing when I saw Roo on her perch, acting as nonchalant as could be. A clear sign she had been shouting encouragement a moment before, but still sulking that she didn't get to it first..

Ok, I have to get going or I'm not doing to finish up my own honey-do list for this week. And since this is the only afternoon to myself this week, I must get busy. I have to return home with enough time left to worship my girls or the next mauling may be Me and not some tattered luggage.

Love and Light!
